Blog #7

The country I chose was Guatemala. Some of the things I would see include people who are descendants of indigenous Mayan peoples, a very beautiful geography which consists of mountains and a fertile coastal plain region. Some places where I would go include: the Prana Holistic Center because Prana is the only Holistic Center in La Antigua Guatemala. They offer more then 20 different alternative therapies. They also provide Nia, Yoga and Art workshops. Another place I would go would be the National Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology because this museum houses a vast collection of exquisite Maya artifacts displayed in the different halls: the archaeology section has objects from the Preclassic Period, The Classic Period, The Post-Classic and an ethnology section that shows linguistic Maya groups, textiles and traditions. I think I would need about $20,000 just to be safe incase I need to get bailed out of jail or something of that nature. The monetary system of Guatemala is decimal based, with the primary unit of Guatemalan money being called the Guatemalan Quetzal. The first restaurant I would go to would be Tua, where I would order some famouse ham and liverwurst. Another restaurant I would visit would be Hacienda Real, where I would order their award-winning steak. The most memorable thing would be watching all the spicy guatemalan girls walk around on the beach on a steamy, sun shining day. I would probably benefit from learning about the history of the places I want to go because  it is vital that I don't look like a complete newby. I would go with my pops. The exchange rate is 7.55796 . This isn't bad so my money would go further.
